Infectious Substances

Introduction

Since the advent of Class 6.2 Infectious Substances as a separate entity in UN Regulations Mega-Pak has developed one of the most comprehensive range of

compliant packagings and established a reputation for quality and service at competitive prices. We are continually creating new packagings to meet the increasingly diverse needs of our wide customer base in the areas of infectious substances, diagnostic specimens and clinical trials.

The established range of packagings, available from stock, is fully described in the following pages but our rate of development is such that we will be publishing regular news bulletins in this area of the web-site

UN licensed 500ml Combination Pack

[top]

This is our most popular pack. It is fully compliant with the United Nations regulations on the transport of infectious substances and is ideal for sending specimens through the postal system and abroad. The combination packs can be bought pre-assembled in packs of 30 and 60. The components can also be bought individually so that any undamaged parts can be re-used

UN licensed Courier Box

[top]

The courier box is ideal for transporting a large amount of infectious and non-infectious specimens by road or air. The racks can be tailor made to fit the various containers available on the market.

The courier box was put to great use recently by the Irish Veterinary laboratories to prevent a Foot and Mouth outbreak in Ireland

Diagnostic Specimen Packaging

[top]

As well as the Infectious substance packaging available we also produce a range of packagings for the transport of Diagnostic Specimens. These packs meet the pressure requirements as set out in the IATA recommendations and can be manufactured to your own special requirements

Chilled and Ambient temperature packaging

[top]

Specimens that need to be kept chilled or frozen can be transported within these containers.

The 3Ltr transport container is UN licensed and when used with Dry Ice can store specimens at below 0oC for up to 72 Hours
